Advice and Consultancy
TAC works with a wide range of organisations providing
consultancy and support tailored to their needs. The TAC approach
focuses on inclusion, reflective practice and evidence-based
practice.
Examples of TAC's advice and consultancy work
- Development of alternative education curricula and
schemes of work TAC works with education providers to
develop, refine and enhance alternative education curricula, to
meet the needs of a wide range of young people, including those
with behaviour and learning difficulties, young people in care and
young offenders.
- Drug support programme development TAC, in
conjunction with Include in Wales, developed a programme working
intensively with young drug users to support them to give up the
drug, stay off it and engage in education and training.
- Supporting and improving pastoral systems and practice
within a school TAC works with school improvement services
and individual schools to help improve pastoral systems and
practice.
- Developing the skills of school support staff
TAC works with support staff within schools to enable them to
perform their roles more effectively.
- Consultancy for government departments
Several team members have approved consultant status working
for the Standards Unit. TAC are consultants on the DfES
Integrated Working training strategy.
