Abu Dhabi (2006 on-going) PPP School Improvement Project

CfBT Education Trust, through its UAE company, CfBT Education LLC is currently supporting the management of 35 schools as part of the Public Private Partnership programme for the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC). Since 2006, ADEC has engaged private education providers, such as CfBT, to share international best practice and improve the quality of teaching and learning in schools across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The goals of the PPP project are to increase student achievement; improve the overall quality of educational delivery; strengthen the quality of teachers and administrators; increase parent and community involvemnet; and to promote national heritage and culture.

India (2003 on-going)

CfBT India has offices in Chennai and Hyderabad. These offices provide a range of services that support schools, including: customised School improvement Plans, in-service Teacher Training, Management Development Programmes for School Managers as well as specialised support in English Language and IT.

Singapore (2008-2010) Teacher Consultants

CfBT is recruiting, employing, managing and developing 30 high-level Teacher Consultants who will enhance and add significant value to the English language learning of high achieving students and who will share their skills and experience with other teachers in Singapore. CfBT’s Teacher Consultants work in partnership with schools and under the direction of the Ministry of Education, principals and heads of departments.

Ghana (2006-2007) Technical Assistance to Private Schools in Ghana (IFC)

CfBT is implementing a multi-component technical assistance programme, which includes support directly to the private schools sector and to the Trust Bank of Ghana to support their lending to the private schools sector in Ghana through a partial credit guarantee on a future portfolio of school loans. To support this investment, CfBT is responsible for the delivery of a series of workshops addressing the critical areas of operating a private school; the development of a set of manuals based on the content and case studies of the workshops; the development of a sustainable delivery model for the content of the manuals; and the training of trainers for the delivery of the manual content.

Oman (2002 on-going) British Training Institute

In 2002 CfBT opened a language training institute in Muscat to provide high quality ELT to private students, as well as corporate clients, such as ministries and large businesses. It sometimes offers courses in IT and management.
