Local Authority Services
We are able to impact on the teaching and learning of thousands
of young people through the schools and Local Authorities that we
work directly with.
Our aim is to improve teaching and learning for young people by
encouraging high aspirations, improving confidence and engendering
motivation and by supporting and encouraging teachers to enable and
empower them to deliver a creative and exciting curriculum. We are
able to do this by offering an excellent and innovative service,
which includes consultancy, training and provision of management
products.
Our work in East
Sussex has now reached a successful conclusion to an
extended contract to provide the School Improvement Service for the
County Council. During CfBT’s tenure, GCSE A*-C results (including
in English and mathematics) improved every year and reached an
unprecedented high in the final year of contract delivery. Marked
improvements were also recorded in other educational indicators
such as a reduction in schools judged by Ofsted as requiring a
notice to improve.
