Information for Teachers and Students

CfBT Academies’ teachers are fully engaged in determining the development of their Academy, accepting responsibility for their personal contribution to the growth of the Academy and their professional development. They work in a culture of sharing best practice with time to engage in research and development through internal and external partnerships.

Not only are they forward-looking in promoting innovation across the Academy, they also work together to ensure the Academy has an effective self-evaluation system to evidence the progress of students.

As a result, learners are open to new ways of working, motivated and supported by a range of opportunities for personal reflection, goal-setting and personal assessment for learning.

They are inspired to achieve because of the breadth of the opportunities available to meet their individual learning needs, and they are able to develop their own learning journey, having the confidence to recognise and communicate their own needs.

Students at CfBT academies have an increased choice in the curriculum through a range of specialised qualifications and diplomas, and have the time available to support their individual requirements.
