CfBT Academies: Broadening Horizons
A CfBT Academy is a learning organisation for the whole
community, where pupils and other learners fully participate in the
learning opportunities available through the Academy, thrive and
excel. CfBT Academies make a major contribution to answering the
learning needs of their community.
CfBT works in partnership with the local community and schools to
provide a high quality, flexible learning and social environment
with equality and access for all members of the local community.
The Academies’ students and the community they serve are provided
with world class learning opportunities which reflect the social,
learning and skills needs of the 21st Century. The freedoms and
flexibility offered through the Academy framework to research and
develop best practice help motivate and support the academic and
vocational aspirations of the students and their communities.
