A FREE briefing focusing upon improving the quality of your school self-evaluation

We are pleased to offer you and your school management team a FREE briefing on how you can improve the quality of your school self-evaluation. Our next events will be held in Gloucester and Cheltenham in March with a choice of 3 two-hour sessions on each day to fit in with your schedules.

What will you gain from attending?

  • Criteria that enable you to judge and improve the quality of your evaluative writing.
  • Understanding of a process to improve evaluative writing, that can be applied to all key monitoring and evaluation activities, such as lesson observation and pupil work sampling.
  • An overview of an efficient, manageable system for gathering information to support and underpin school self-evaluation. The system enables senior leaders to produce evaluative summaries in key aspects of the school's work such as teaching and learning, standards and achievement, and the outcomes of the school's provision for the Every Child Matters agenda.
  • A demonstration of CfBT’s secure, web-based school self-evaluation and improvement planning software tool - Stratis e-Suite - that supports the completion of Ofsted’s Self- Evaluation Form (SEF) for your school.

The above programme and associated materials have been used extensively across England. One Headteacher who attended the session said:

“The process you gave us for evaluating lessons is proving to be extremely useful and the staff really like it.”

Feedback from users of the Stratis e-Suite has been equally positive:

“What I really like about Stratis e-Suite is the way it has turned our planning cycle into an ongoing process. There was always the danger when we produced development plans on paper that the resulting document became too unwieldy to use effectively. Now each subject and area of responsibility has its own plan which ties into the overall school priorities.”

Stephen Warne - Assistant Headteacher, Woodway Park School, Coventry
