CfBT is accredited by the Department for Education (DfE) to
provide Ofsted-assured inspections to British schools operating
overseas.
This new inspection scheme is designed to inform parents of
students in schools delivering British curricula around the world
how standards in these schools compare to those measured by Ofsted
in UK independent schools.
It also allows schools delivering British curricula
internationally to demonstrate that they provide a standard of
education characteristic of the British independent sector -
providing a widely-recognised quality mark.
A CfBT inspection
CfBT is the only accredited provider delivering inspections for
British schools overseas that has delivered high-quality
inspections continuously on behalf of Ofsted for more than 15
years, including inspecting UK independent and boarding schools. As
one of the three approved providers we currently conduct all Ofsted
inspections in the north of England.
Our established history of advising governments on inspections
e.g. Jamaica and Bahrain and the establishment of the Dubai School
Inspection Bureau together with accrediting schools in South East
Asia and inspecting many hundreds of government schools around the
world, provides us with valuable insight into the needs of
international schools.
