Evaluation of the Skills for Life at Work Project (2011)

Between September 2008 and March 2011 a professional development partnership named New Futures was awarded the largest ever ESF funded project in the adult learning sector Skills for Life at Work. This partnership comprised of The Skills for Life Development Centre (part of CfBT) as lead, with The Essential Skills Support Unit and the Thames Valley Professional Development Network.  The main aim of this was to support providers to deliver quality training to Skills for Life learners, working or volunteering,  whilst delivering CPD  training within the sector.  The evaluation report explains more about the successes, outcomes and lessons learned from this innovative project.

New anti-bullying guidance for Wales (2010)

CfBT researched and developed five guidance documents for schools on specific areas of bullying. The guidance contains case studies gathered from Welsh schools. 

Improving access to careers in integrated Youth Support Services  (2010)

This research project involved the design of a framework to increase awareness of, and access to, careers in integrated Youth Support Services, based on desk research and consultative workshops.

Induction standards for the Children and Young Peoples Workforce (2010)

CfBT researched and developed generic national training materials to support practitioners’ achievement of the induction standards.  The resulting materials can be accessed here.

Parent Support Adviser national training (2010)

Using desk research, policy analysis and consultancy, CfBT researched and developed role specific material to support the development of evidence-based CPD materials and writing of CPD materials. 

Learning Mentor national training (2010)

Using desk research, policy analysis and stakeholder consultation, CfBT researched and developed role specific material to support the development of evidence-based CPD materials and writing of CPD materials.

Integrated working national training (2010)

Integrated working (including information sharing, the common assessment framework, the lead professional, team around the child and multi-agency working) was central to the Every Child Matters: Change for Children agenda. Desk research, policy analysis and stakeholder consultation were undertaken to support the development of evidence based CPD materials and writing of CPD materials.  The resulting CPD materials can be accessed here.
