PUBLICATION OF NEW RESEARCH FROM CfBT EDUCATION TRUST ON
SCHOOL EFFECTIVENESS
New research by leading education charity CfBT
Education Trust has recently been launched at the House of Lords.
The research report School Change to Improve Effectiveness was the
focal point of the evening event on January 12, 2010 which was
chaired by Lord Moser.
The report offers advice and guidance for headteachers in
developing countries, particularly post-conflict countries and
fragile states, and draws on a research project conducted in Angola
which has concluded that a relatively small input can change a
culture that has been shaped by conflict and can enable children to
aspire to a life without poverty. The report identifies some of the
key factors that can improve the effectiveness of a school even if
it has minimal resources and ensure that both teachers and pupils
can contribute more effectively to school life.
