The TIPD was established in 2000 by the DCSF to enable teachers to experience international educational systems by participating in study visits. It provides an opportunity to share effective practice and to develop international links. Full details  of theTIPD  programme and other international opportunities can be found in the  booklet ‘DCSF Teachers’ International Professional Development Programme’ and on the following website.

TIPD LA Short Term Study Visits

Each LA has an annual allocation of places for TIPD study visits. Lincolnshire’s allocation is 25, which is usually split between two visits, one in the February holiday and one during the October break. A theme is chosen for each visit from the list provided by the DCSF. A list of the themes and details of eligibility and funding can be found in the booklet ‘DCSF Teachers’ International Professional Development Programme’.
