Welcome to the School Support Staff area
Support Staff are an increasingly important part of the school
workforce. Developing the skills and catering for the career
aspirations of the wide range of support staff are high priorities
for the Lincolnshire School Improvement Service as well as for
national policy makers.
In 2008-2009 as an indication of the priority the Lincolnshire
School Improvement Service places on support staff
development, most training is available at half rate if
working in a PDA school
This section of the website caters for the different groups of
support staff in schools providing news, ideas for professional
development and enrichment and copies of key documents particularly
for those involved with:
- children's learning including the higher level teaching
assistant programme with which the School Improvement Service is
very actively involved
- children's behaviour and guidance
- school administration and organisation
- the health and welfare of children
