Onside@BostonUnited

Onside@BostonUnited is part of the national initiative 'Playing for Success'. The Centre is based in the Vice President’s Lounge at the Boston United football ground. The location gives the centre a high profile within the club, as the area is used for hospitality on match days.

Pupils from schools in Boston Borough have now been attending the centre since January 2002. Study Support sessions operate on four evenings a week, 10 weeks each term. Primary pupils attend 3.30-5.30pm and secondary pupils attend 5.30-7.30pm, one night a week.

The centre is one of the football-based centres nationally to be part of a National Literacy Trust initiative called ‘Reading the Game’.

The centre also offers a daytime programme which schools are able to buy into, further details are available from the centre.
