Support for Schools
From September 2007 support for Gifted and Talented pupils will
be provided by a network of leading teachers in the primary sector
and an identified leading teacher in each secondary
schools.
National Strategy training and ongoing support for leading
teachers has been provided by the Gifted and Talented Team and
Strategy consultants, along with handbooks to support
schools in developing their Gifted and Talented provision. A
supplement to the
handbook has been circulated to schools. Further support for
schools in developing their Gifted and Talented provision is
also provided through a variety of CPD
and network meetings. For those schools who were unable to
attend the first round of the National Strategy training further
dates have been arranged and schools will be advised of
these. Should you require any further information in the
meantime please contact Sara Gregory via email on sgregory@cfbt.com.
