Wendy Harrison
RE Adviser
| Wendy has a broad range of teaching
experience in different parts of the country, in inner city and
rural settings. She moved into advisory and inspection work in
1995, working in the London Borough of Waltham Forest and then in
Leicestershire as Link Adviser and Adviser for Humanities and RE.
Her subject specialism is religious education, along with the
related areas of spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.
She has assisted many schools in the writing of RE policies and
schemes of work and has worked with three SACREs to produce locally
Agreed Syllabuses for RE. Her other areas of interest include
Philosophy for Children (P4C) and broader issues relating to
inclusion and community cohesion. She has been involved in policy
making at Local Authority level in the areas of race equality, sex
education and elective home education. At present she works as an
independent consultant for CfBT in Lincolnshire, acting as Adviser
to SACRE. She is also a trained inspector for Ofsted, an accredited
School Improvement Partner and Project Support Officer for the
REC/DCSF Resilience project. |
