14-19 Support
The support offered for 14-19 development in schools is framed
by the by the drive to raise attainment and progress for all
learners, and encourage continued participation in education and/or
training. Clearly, this is framed by the emerging National 14-19
policy as outlined in the 14-19
Education and Skills White Paper, and by the local Learning and
Skills Council’s response to this, as detailed in the Lincolnshire
and Rutland Learner Entitlement. Please
contact Eileen Chapman (echapman@cfbt.com) for further
information.
A major part of our work focuses on supporting curriculum
development in schools, particularly through the Increased
Flexibility Programme (IFP), and the Employability Graduation Award
(EGA). A team of lead teachers work with us to support Vocational
qualifications in school, including training for teachers,
classroom support for learners, and the development of materials
and resources. We also service a number of networks developed to
share and develop practice in specific Vocational areas. Please
contact Rod Anderson (randerson@cfbt.com) for further
information.
As a school improvement service, we work closely with other local
agencies involved in 14-19 developments including the LSC, Connexions
Service, Education Business Partnership (EBP) as well as
regional partners including the Government Office for the East
Midlands (GOEM), the DfES Regional Standards Unit and the Learning
and Skills Development Agency (LSDA). (http://www.lsda.org.uk/home.asp)
