The aim of Primary Science curriculum support
in Lincolnshire is to work with schools to raise standards in the
teaching and learning of science from the Early Years to the end of
Key Stage 2.
Scientific Enquiry is key to children’s
learning in science. It is about developing children’s knowledge
and understanding at first hand through enquiry, investigation and
experimentation, through the close interaction of skills and
concepts. Scientific understanding in Sc2, 3 and 4 is learnt
through enquiry, but also children can be challenged and extended
through the use of a wide range and materials, some of which have
been included on our web site.
We have developed the Primary Science web site
to include a range of useful resources including:
News and Events
Layered Targets in Scientific Enquiry
Subject leader support materials
Primary UPD8 and Smart Science
