What We Do

The Lincolnshire School Improvement Service provides a wide range of services and products designed to support school improvement across all phases. Under the 'Services Provided' we are offer details of consultancy, courses and conferences from SIS and partners searchable to allow particular interests to be easily located. The full details of the Professional Development Agreement (PDA) are also included. There are separate pages for key initiatives such as the Graduate Teacher Programme (particularly the East Lincolnshire DRB), Advanced Skills Teachers (ASTs), Fast Track and Support Staff development (including the Higher Level Teaching Assistant programme).

Also available in this section are details of the provision of local partners involved in CPD, information about Partner Advisers, Lincolnshire and regional networks and collaboratives and about professional recognition and accreditation. The as well as the Freiston Centre for Environmental Education the Boston United Study Support Centre website can also be accessed from this section.

SIS is also developing a growing range of products. This section is likely to grow but currently comprises the Moderated School Self Review (MSSR), its middle management equivalent (MMMSR), the revised electronic School Single Planner (eSSP) and teaching and learning resources and plans (LDP). The well-regarded resources from the Drugs Education Programme are also available here.Other resources will be added as they come on stream.

Colleagues may wish also to access the phase and subject-specific sections. A regularly updated primary section includes developments affecting nursery, foundation and key stage 1 and 2 information in mainstream and special schools. The secondary equivalent focuses on key stages 3 and 14-19 developments in mainstream and special schools. Subject specific pages are also being developed.
