Services CfBT Provide for Lincolnshire County Council, its
Schools and Settings
Overview of Contract Management
The CfBT core partnership contract with the
County Council delivers a series of services through CfBT employed
staff. These services are described as CfBT School
Improvement Service in partnership with Lincolnshire County
Council. In addition the County Council has contracted
CfBT to manage a range of other services. These services are
described as CfBT managed services for Lincolnshire County
Council. CfBT has full management responsibilities for
these services, but the staff are still working to Lincolnshire
County Council conditions of service.
‘CfBT SIS in partnership with
Lincolnshire County Council’ duties include:
- Head of SIS is a full member of LCC’s
Children’s Services Departmental Management Team (DMT) and LCC’s
Business Management Team (BMT)
- Monitoring and challenging School
Performance
- Providing intervention to coasting and
under-performing schools
- Reviewing schools performance and
supporting schools through Ofsted Inspections
- Professional support for the appointment of
Headteachers and Deputy Heads, and providing Director’s
representation at headship interviews
- Developing and enhancing teaching and
learning
- Compliance with Statutory Obligations on
tests and examinations
- Developing school partnerships and
networks, including federations
- Support the work of SACRE
- Supporting Inspections of the LA, include
support on APA and JAR
- Monitoring Elective Home Education
- Lead responsibility for working with DfES on
school improvement issues
- Lead responsibility with Ofsted on inspection
of schools and settings
- Lead responsibility with NCSL, QCA, NAA, TDA
and NRT
- Lead responsibility with the National
Strategies and related Standards Funds
- Lead responsibility with Learning and Skills
Council and all areas of 14-19 work
- Lead responsibility for specialist
schools
- Management of Freiston Hall Residential
Environmental Centre
- Management of Boston United and Lincoln City
Study Support Centres
- Management of Horncastle, Ashleigh and Mary
Knox Curriculum Centres
- Graduate teacher training programme
- NQT induction and monitoring
- Provision of professional support to schools
through training and consultancy
- Management of Excellence Clusters and
Behaviour Improvement Programmes
- Management of remodelling and developing the
schools workforce
