Welcome to the Lincolnshire
School Improvement Service
In September 2002, CfBT began a ten-year partnership with
Lincolnshire County Council. The main aim was to support the school
improvement agenda in Lincolnshire schools. The contract has now
expanded to manage a number of services for
the County Council.
Our remit: The Lincolnshire School
Improvement Service (LSIS) has overall responsibility for the
governance, leadership, learning and workforce development in
schools and settings. This includes the monitoring, support and
challenge to these establishments to raise standards and well-being
for children and young people in Lincolnshire.
LSIS is committed to working
collaboratively with schools, settings and other providers – see
our Mission and Values statement.
At the heart of our monitoring and challenge work with
schools is the moderated school self-review (MSSR), which provides schools with a framework
for knowing themselves and is externally verified. We support
schools and settings through consultancy, training and conferences
in a comprehensive workforce development
(CPD) programme.
LSIS is striving to make a real difference for
children and young people in Lincolnshire.
