Job Description
The East Sussex career structure for Primary Teaching
Assistants (TAs) identifies the role of cover supervision in
primary schools as being carried out by TA3s. It states that a TA3
may only work as a cover supervisor for up to 30% of the time for
which they are employed as a TA3. Visit

The School Improvement Service provides a range of courses for
primary TA3s who cover classes when the teacher is absent.
Many of these courses are funded by the HLTA grant and are mapped
to the appropriate HLTA standards.
