TDA Three Year Strategy

Developing people to support learning:
A skills strategy for the wider school workforce 2006-09

This three-year strategy sets out how the school workforce development board (SWDB) will work to create a coherent training and development system for schools. The SWDB is a national partnership of government bodies, unions and employers who are committed to supporting schools in this goal.

The strategy commits that "over the next three years, the SWDB will develop programmes to support schools with change management, staff deployment and performance development. We will ensure qualifications are relevant to existing and emerging support roles and that training and development opportunities are extended to help staff develop the necessary skills."
