School Support Staff

Working together as part of the whole school team, support staff make a powerful contribution to the overall objective of raising standards.  They enable a professional group working around the professional teaching core.

Support staff now equal or exceed teachers in number nationally and locally.  The range of roles in schools is now as diverse as any other sector and as schools become more complex organisations, the work of support staff is becoming more varied and demanding.
