NQT Induction
Support for NQTs and induction processes for NQTs and for staff
new to a role/school are a key part of the School Improvement
Service’s work.
The central training programme contains courses directly
targeted at NQTs and Returners, as well as courses for more
experienced teachers to which NQTs and Returners are also
invited.
The School Improvement Service has a robust and consistent
approach to its statutory role of monitoring schools’ NQT induction
processes and a database of good practice is developing. The SIS
works in close partnership with the CSA’s Workforce Recruitment
Team in this aspect of its work.
