Learning Platforms

The term "learning platform" refers to a combination of ICT services that support teaching and learning.

Through a learning platform, hardware, software and supporting services are brought together to enable more effective ways of working within and outside the classroom.

The School Improvement Service aims to support schools in making the most effective use of this emerging technology through National Strategy work and by providing advice and consultancy to schools in developing best practice in the use of managed learning.
