Extended Schools
An extended school works with local organisations, including
other schools, to provide a range of extra services to children,
young people and the local community, including:
- a varied range of extra-curricular activities;
- wraparound childcare;
- parenting and family support;
- access to specialist services such as speech therapy, family
support and children’s mental health;
- community use of facilities.
