Aims of the Project

  • partnership with parents and involvement in the learning development of their local children’s centre;
  • partnership with the local community and involvement of local artists and resources;
  • partnership with local service teams to provide guidance on the Foundation Stage Curriculum;
  • opportunities for children to have time to explore and experiment with ideas, materials and activities;
  • opportunities for children to develop confidence and independence, in making choices and to respond to what they see, hear, smell, touch and feel;
  • opportunities for children to develop their communication skills in order to talk about their work and experiences using appropriate vocabulary and develop their powers of expression;
  • practitioners develop a shared understanding of what is meant by creativity;
  • practitioners increase their understanding of how creativity is developed through many areas of learning;
  • practitioners develop their skills and understanding of how to stimulate children’s creativity.
