Appointment of Headteachers
The governing body will be provided with up to 2.5 days
support (including preparation time) in recruiting a
headteacher.
National Tests
Compliance with statutory obligations for key stage test
monitoring, security audits of test papers and administration of
special arrangements. These are carried out through a range of
activities including school visits and administrative support.
Support for National and East Sussex Priorities
The School Improvement Service will initiate, develop,
facilitate or manage a range of national, regional and local
initiatives that support school improvement, as well as other
CSA developments.
Special Educational Needs
The Inclusion team will provide support, guidance and
coordinate central training in line with the DCSF Code of
Practice on Local Authority - School relations.
Newly Qualified Teachers
The SIS will coordinate the statutory monitoring of
the Induction Year in line with the CSA’s responsibility as the
“Appropriate Body”.
