CfBT Advice & Guidance is the prime contractor for
nextstep in the North East of England and we work with over 40
statutory, community and voluntary sector organisations to deliver
the nextstep service throughout the region. We are also a
subcontractor in the Oxfordshire area where we deploy careers
advisers to work with adults across the county.
Partnership with a wide range of organisations in the
community and voluntary sectors is crucial to facilitate
access to our services and to ensure effective referral into other
provision. We work closely with organisations working
with lone parents, offenders, the disabled, migrant workers
and a wide range of other needy groups.
Careers information and advice is aimed at over 18s.
nextstep promotes the importance of learning and work as a
means to self improvement and fulfilment.
We work with clients at all levels of achievment, in or out of
work. Increasingly our work is with those who have been made
redundant or who are at risk of redundancy
Careers information and advice is tailored to individual
needs and will include:
- Personal career development
- Qualifications advice and advice on local, regional and
national learning opportunities
- Information about the local job market
- CV writing
We deliver a range of complementary careers information and
advice projects funded through other funding streams such as
european social funding .
