Andy Breckon
School Improvement Services Director, CfBT Education Trust

Working in a strategic partnership with Lincolnshire County Council, Andy is CfBT’s School Improvement Services Director and is responsible for the governance, leadership and learning, and professional development in 370 schools and 300 settings, and for all aspects of institutional improvement. He is the lead officer for Building Schools for the Future (BSF) and a member of the County Council’s Transformation Board.

Andy chairs the Raising Achievement Board for the City of Leicester, following their Joint Area Review (JAR) Report. He is also chair of New College Leicester’s Interim Executive Board and has seen it through a radical and highly successful transformation over the last four years. Andy is an expert in change management and developing innovative solutions to failing schools; this includes collaborative re-start schools and Executive Headships in federative structures, currently over 30 operational systems. Lincolnshire is also the most successful local authority in terms of the development of 14-19 Diplomas.
