REACHING THE MARGINALISED

A critical reflection on the EFA Global Monitoring Report 2010

Monday 8th March 2010, 09.30-17.30

The Jeffery Hall, Institute of Education, 20 Bedford Way, London WC1H 0AL

Failure to reach the marginalised has denied many people their right to education, argues the eighth annual Education for All Global Monitoring Report. With the effects of the global economic crisis still being felt, there is a real danger that much of the progress of the past ten years will stall or be reversed. Education is at risk, and countries must develop more inclusive approaches, linked to wider strategies for protecting vulnerable populations and overcoming inequalities.
