Training for New Inspectors with No Experience - What's involved?

We only train people who we feel confident that we can offer work to.

Applicants will be interviewed according to business need and the requirements of our recruitment strategy.  People from outside the CfBT RISP area will not be considered.

Once accepted prospective inspectors will then have to apply for CRB clearance before training commences. This is an Ofsted requirement. CRB clearance takes around 6 weeks.

New Inspector Training comprises of:

• 2 days x distance learning/tasks

• 3 days x tutored

• 2 days x Inspection attachment with mentor

Candidates will be assessed at each stage of the training process.

Candidates will be expected to build up a portfolio of evidence throughout the training; this will form part of the final assessment.

Costs are £1, 500 for the course. This includes everything except hotel accommodation if required.
