include’s Work-based learning > offer
Post-16
include is a recognised
provider of e2e programmes nationally and we are currently
delivering a number of programmes in Norfok, County Durham,
Berkshire and Oxfordshire. The e2e projects are available to
young people aged 16-19 who are not in education, employment or
training (NEET), and can also be adapted to meet the needs of those
with Special Educational Needs.
Our vocational education programmes include
‘ADVANCE’, a learning programme delivered in conjunction with local
industry, to allow young people who are currently NEET to
experience genuine work experience and placement opportunities that
will prepare them for a fully planned progression into a mainstream
destination.
include offers a service that
is flexible and tailored to the unique and personal needs of
individuals. With our broad curriculum offer and use of
creative learning methods our staff establish a robust programme
quickly and efficiently, so supporting young people and
establishing them in sustainable post 16 options.
At include we have experience
of working with the most vulnerable, including care leavers, single
parents, offenders, substance misusers, young people with mental
health issues and young people with poor experience of
education.
Our programmes are driven by individual
assessment using include’s comprehensive
assessment, planning and review system.
We are able to support young people who are
vocationally undecided on entry to gain a realistic understanding
of a chosen occupational route through guided occupational
awareness training and realistic work experience, drawing on
expertise from the wider organisation and local providers.
include’s offer – Pre-16
Working with KS4 young people, in schools,
include offers a part-time programme (1 to 2 days per week) aimed
at young people who have shown an interest in the work-based route,
those who are at risk of disengagement or becoming NEET.
The project can be delivered within a single
school or offered across a cluster group. Tailored to meet
the needs of the individuals and the school, the project can be
delivered as a standalone, or incorporated into a wider alternative
curriculum offer.
