There are 3 strands to the curriculum offer, which can be
tailored to meet the needs of young people and/or
commissioners:
Skills for Life:
- Individual assessment of basic skills;
- Individual learning plans and targets set and reviewed;
- Appropriate certification;
- Accreditation available in Skills for Life through City and
Guilds from Entry to Level 2.
Personal and Social education:
- Equal Opportunities;
- Healthy Living;
- Sexual Health;
- Mental Health;
- Independent Living;
- Rights and Responsibilities;
- Social Activities to be determined locally;
- Accreditation is available through AQA unit awards, ASDAN short
courses and Wider Keyskills.
Employment development:
The project will deliver Employment Opportunities that will
include the following elements:
- Job search skills;
- Work preparation;
- Work tasters /experience;
- Accreditation will be available through the City and Guilds
module curriculum for Preparing for Employment.
