Nursery News..
The lead up to Christmas was a busy time here
at The Children’s House Nursery! The children spent their time
creating decorations and beautiful festive wall displays. They made
Christmas cards, presents for their families and calendars to take
home.
Santa came to visit and enjoyed joining in
with the Christmas fancy dress party. We had snowdrops, Santa’s
elves, reindeer, fairies, angels, snowmen and a few Spidermen all
having a wonderful time at the party. Parents joined in too and
provided a delicious selection of party food that the children
shared with one another and Santa!
The Nursery and Reception classes put on
beautiful and well-rehearsed plays that brought a few tears to the
eyes of the audience! We had the plays professionally recorded for
posterity!!! We’re sure there are some budding superstars in
there!!!
All the staff worked hard to make the
Christmas season an enjoyable one for the children and one another
– we enjoyed the festive cheer through the month of December!
Throughout the rest of the year the staff will
be attending various courses and workshops to keep up with the
exciting new changes in the care and development of children. We
are also looking forward to creating a new sensory room for the
children to enjoy!
The Nursery is looking forward to holding open
days for parents to visit the nursery and spend a little time
playing alongside their child – they’d better come prepared to get
a little messy!!!!
